Our Standards for Ancestry & Health: Scientific Facts on Genetic Prevention

By focusing on both Ancestry & Health, we ensure that our kittens are not only beautiful but genetically sound. The health of our Singapura kittens is secured through complete ancestry research. We are often asked about specific tests:

  1. Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PK Def): This hereditary disease has been tested negative in our lines (K&K and MySwiss Spirit) for generations. Since PK Def is inherited recessively, two negative parents can only produce negative offspring. The health of our Singapura kittens is genetically fixed in this regard.
  2. Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA): Our cats come from “pure” lines without outcrossing. Since no case of blindness has occurred in the pedigrees for decades, the health of our Singapura kittens is also guaranteed here.

We are convinced of the genetic integrity of our cats and trust our mentors in Switzerland.
